You smiled excitedly as the sun set and the moon raised high into the sky. The sky was clear as the waves calmly lapped against the beach. The conditions were just perfect! -Oh! My bad! I forgot to introduce you! Your name is (Name), (Name) (LastName) and today was the 4th of July, a human holiday celebration where fireworks lit up the sky in beautiful colorful designs. You were by yourself but figured that if you made a lot of noise, everyone would come and see the fireworks. You even brought sparklers for everyone.

"This is going to be so fun!"you smiled as you set up five all called 'Maximum Charge' before rushing to light all of them up.

You quickly backed away as they set off, shooting off with a loud whisle before exploding in the air. You sat back in awe as you watched the display. You didn't even realize the trolls and humans gathering behind you.

"(NAME) WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DONG OUT SO FUCKING EARLY?"Karkat yelled with a grumpy expression plastered onto his face.

"And what the fuck diid you just exthplode?"Sollux asked as everyone walked up closer to you in confusion and grogginess.

It's the 4th of July sillies!"you laugh as you hold up a 'Bone Breaker'.

"Woah! Where did you get that?!"John shouted while pointing at it.

"I made it!"you laughed as you threw it up in the air before catching it.

"If You Do Not Mind Me Asking. What Are These Things Called?"Kanaya asked politely.

"Their called fireworks. Here! Just watch!"you said as you set up another around of fireworks before shooting them off again.

They popped and crackled as bright colors shown in the sky making all the trolls looking up amazed as one after one shot off.

"Wow! This is pawsitivly amazing!"Nepeda said happily.

"And here I brought these for you guys!"you said as you held out some sparklers.

"Are these fireworks too?"she asked as you handed her one.

"Kind of. But these ones are called sparklers. They light up in your hands but don't worry, they don't explode."you said as you lit it.

Her curious face soon grew into one of excitedness as it started to spark.

"Nepeta, please refrain from taking riskful activities before you in danger yourself."Equius said, crossing his arms.

"Don't worry! I wouldn't give something that could hurt her."you say as you wave him off.

Pretty soon everyone is playing around with sparklers as you and John shot off more fireworks. It was fun but you felt like you were missing something. Or, someone...

"Hey (Name)! Look at thiis!"Sollux said.

Brushing the feeling away you turn around to find him holding up twenty sparklers with his psionic powers. You laughed as he twirled them around, making symbols and words as he moved them. Soon you grew tired of setting off the fireworks and let the others do it as you played with some sparklers. You ended up getting close to the waters edge as you lit sparkler after sparkler. It was just so mesmerizing that you almost didn't see something pop out of the water.

"Eridan? Is that you?"you asked as you got a little closer.

"Yeah"he said as he watched you get closer.

"What are you doing? Come out and join us!"you laughed as you twirled your sparkler in a circle.

"It's ok. I don't feel much like joinin' in wwhatevver their all are doin'." He said with a pout.

"Why? What's wrong?"you asked concerned.

He didn't say anything but look at the sparkler that was in your hand. It's small light radiated off both of your bodies before it quickly burned out.

"Oh! Hold on let me light an-"you started when you felt something press against your lips.

You opened your mouth as Eridan fed you a chocolate truffle. How did he even get these without them getting soaked?! You smiled as you swallowed and lit another sparkler.

"Happy 4th of July."he said while giving you his signature pompous smirk.

"Best matespirte in the world."you laughed as you kissed him right as a firework shot into the sky.

You both pulled away and watched as it exploded into a giant red heart.

"Wow I guess there really are sparks in the air!"you laughed as Eridan rolled his eyes.
