"Now it is time to watch MY movie!" You said loudly as you wiped the remnants of tears from the corner of your eyes.

Karkat had promised that after watching one of his Romcoms you both would watch one of your, as Karkat put it, "SHITTY EARTH MOVIES".

"FINE BUT HURRY THE FUCK UP" He grumbled as he readjusted himself on the couch.

You quickly opened the CD case and plopped it into the CD player before rushing over to snuggled up beside your half of the couch.

"What are y9u 69th d9ing?" Asked the curious voice of Kankri.

"NOTHING, JUST WATCHING SOME SHITTY EARTH MOVIE" Karkat shouted irritatedly.

"Karkat, I w9uld appreciate if y9u didn't sh9ut at me f9r simply asking what the 69th 9f y9u were d9ing. Furtherm9re, insulting an9ther culture f9r simply n9t understanding it is very-" Kankri said as he took off into a rant.

"THATS FUCKING IT! SORRY [NAME], BUT I REFUSE TO LISTEN TO ANOTHER GOG DAMN THING THAT SHOOTS OUT FROM HIS PROTEIN CHUTE." Karkat shouted as he stood up and absconded out from his living block.

You sadly watched as he left knowing that your 'movie time' was over.

"[Name], I'm s9 s9rry f9r h9w my dancest9r reacted t9 my sudden appearance. H9w a69ut I take his place and watch this 'human m9vie' with y9u? N9t that I'm saying I am replacing him 6ecause I-" as he continued you couldn't help but to let a smile grow onto your face.

"Sure. I'd like that." You said as you patted the empty seat next to you.

He complied, almost eagerly, and sat down next to you. Of course sitting as far as the couch would let him. Personal space and everything. You curled up under a blanket before grabbing the remote and pressing 'Play'. Kankri was mostly quiet throughout the whole movie only making a noise when he covered his face at the kissing scene. You actually knew how he felt. You felt like you were spying on them at their most intimate moment. You hid your face but always kept your eyes peeking through your fingers, not missing a beat. When the movie was over joyful tears were gushing down your face as you try in vain to make them stop.

"[Name]? Are y9u alright?" Kankri asked concerned.

You turned your head quickly to the side so that he wouldn't see your crying face.

"Y-....Yeah" You finally mumbled out as you stopped the rushing tears and dried your face.

You couldn't see him but Kankri almost reached out to you before stopping halfway and quickly retracting him arm to his side. You composed yourself and turned to Kankri and gave him a reassuring smile.

"The wedding part got to me, you know? When he said they'd be together forever." You said as you let a laugh slip out from your mouth.

"Pard9n me, 6ut what is this 'wedding' that kept resurfacing thr9ugh9ut the m9vie? Why did she start t9 cry when he asked her t9 bec9me his 6ride? Did he trigger her in s9me way I did n9t kn9w 9f?" Kankri asked honestly, not know half the things going on in the movie, except that the two matesprites were doing some kind of ceremony.

"A wedding is a marriage between two people." You said surprised he didn't know what a wedding was.

"Again, pard9n me f9r n9t kn9wing, 6ut what is a marriage?" He asked getting even more confused in your human culture.

"Ummm... I guess the best way to explain a marriage is when two people love- I mean, feel red for their partner- matesprite very much they propose to be together for as long as they live. If they say yes then they celebrate by having what is called a wedding. At the wedding you invite whoever you want to celebrate along with the happy couple and give them their blessing. And then they both speak their vows to each other and kiss to seal their vows." You said as you watched Kankri hang onto every word that came out of your mouth like it was the most interesting thing in the universe.

"What kind 9f v9ws?" He asked surprised.

"Well, for example, how much they love the other and promise to never stop loving them and stay by their side forever. Things like that." You said quickly thinking of examples.

"And what a69ut this sealing with a kiss?" He asked rather shyly but without stuttering.

"Well..... The best I could explain it is a way of showing everyone that what you said is true. But back in older days the way to seal the vows was by consummating the marriage. I guess that still the same thing because after the wedding and after party the couple go up stairs and have what we call a ...'honey moon'." You said pausing for a brief moment to check if Kankri was understanding.

He had a blush covering his face.

"And at this 'h9ney m99n'. D9 they share it t9gether?" He asked still pressing on.

"Um. No. A honey moon is when the couple consummate their marriage." You said as you twiddled your thumbs.

You saw a blush going over Kankri face as he pulled up his sweater. You yourself felt a raising blush descending to your cheeks.

"Thank y9u f9r enlightening me 9n the su6ject 9f human marriages. 6ut next time y9u sh9uld tag y9ur triggers 6ef9re c9ntinuing." Kankri said as he held the edge of his sweater down so you could understand what he was saying.

"Ok. Thank you for watching this with me!" You said as you smiled at him in appreciation.

He returned your smile before a loud bang was heard from the front door.

"ARE YOU DESPERATE BULDGE GULPERS STILL HERE?" Karkat shouted as he saw you both.

'There goes the moment.' You thought as Kankri immediately went into rant mode on Karkat.

Karkat screamed and held his hands over his ears and he tried to run from Kankri but he was hot on his tail as they both went upstairs. You couldn't help but feel a large smile growing on your face. But then you realized that, that was the kind of moment that movie goers like yourself always watched. Meaning this was the start of maybe something more?
